“I really appreciated your helpful, methodical and friendly approach and had a great couple of hours. Unfortunately it absolutely lashed it down once I dropped over the other side of the M62 so I couldn't give it a blast yesterday, but I managed a few glorious hours in the Peak District this afternoon with the roof down. I can't say it feels like there's a huge difference in power or torque which doesn't surprise me (I know you can't mess with boost!) but it's definitely smoother, the extra revs before the hard limiter add an extra element to the drive-ability of the car and it's definitely easier to heel & toe. I also appreciated the quieter cold start. Overall I'm delighted and looking forward to a summer of MX-5 fun!”

“Big thanks to Adam at CleaR Motorsport for his unmatched enthusiasm and impressively deep understanding of the modern MX5 ND. I elected to drive 3 hours each way to get my 1.5 ND 2016 tuned in person and it was well worthwhile. Adam took me through each step of the tuning process and provided extensive technical answers to all of my questions. After each tweak of the tune we went for a test drive and Adam was constantly monitoring the car via his laptop looking for more areas to improve! I am extremely happy with the results of his efforts. I have noticed a slight bump in peak BHP and torque but it's more about the improved responsiveness throughout the rev range. Adam has smoothed out areas that were a bit lumpy previously, and even the neutral throttle response is more eager to facilitate better rev matching downshifts/ heel toe. Idle revs are increased slightly to make it run smoother on idle. Oh it revs higher and stronger beyond 7.5k and does the triple blip thing when it hits the limiter now! So entertaining. The resulting improvements make the car an absolute joy to drive in all scenarios and I'm even more in love with the wee thing now.”

“In my opinion, paying for car setup and driver instruction are by far the best value upgrade drivers can undertake, whether for road or track. Also, I strongly believe that having the option to combine all of these elements into one 'package' (including Adam driving and giving feedback on the car) makes it more valuable than the sum of the individual parts. The extra input from Adam's experience really helps to pull it all together, with the pros, cons, causes and effects explained all the way through the process. This has left me with not only a faster car / driver package, but an understanding of the physics behind it and the ability to think my way around a lap rather than just drive it.”
